Littleton Chambers is pleased to announce that Alexander Halban, formerly of 3 Hare Court, has joined us as of Monday 14 January 2019.
Alexander was called to the Bar in 2009 and is an established practitioner in international commercial disputes, civil fraud, asset tracing and insolvency, from a wide range of jurisdictions including Europe, the Caribbean and the CIS. He has appeared as sole or junior counsel in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Privy Council and Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights.
Alexander has particular expertise in CIS disputes, as a fluent Russian speaker. He most recently appeared in National Bank Trust v Yurov, a nine-week Commercial Court trial in a Russian commercial fraud claim for US$1 billion.
