In a judgment approved recently, Adam Solomon was successful on behalf of his client in a dispute over the will of the late composer, Sir Malcolm Arnold. Adam represented Mr Day, Sir Malcolm’s carer, who claimed 22 years’ worth of pay in respect of untaken holiday. The Judge, who described Adam’s submissions as “at first sight breathtaking”, was nonetheless persuaded of the correctness of the position, having dealt with construction of the contract, limitation issues and contra proferentem.
