Adam Solomon QC successful in Two High Profile Injunctive Relief Applications

11.05.22

Adam Solomon QC has recently been successful in two well publicised injunctive relief applications.

The first involved acting on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in extending a civil restraint order against a former nurse who had been struck off in October 2009, who has continued “to make allegations of dishonesty or discrimination on the part of anyone who opposes her position including lawyers”. The civil restraint order prevents her from issuing claims in the High Court, County Court and Employment Tribunal for a further two years.

The second was against Fergus Wilson, a man described in the press as a “multi- millionaire infamous property mogul” and “Britain’s Worst Landlord”. Representing Ashford Borough Council, Adam obtained an order which upheld an agreement on costs made between counsel, where the Defendant sought to argue that his barrister was no longer instructed when the agreement was reached. The case has previously seen Adam Solomon KC (leading Samuel Davis) obtain final injunctive relief under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
