Littleton Chambers supports 10,000 Black Interns

05.02.21

Littleton Chambers is delighted to announce that it is one of the first Chambers to sign up to 10,000 Black Interns.

10,000 Black Interns is an exciting and ambitious project which aims to help transform the horizons and prospects of young Black people in the United Kingdom by offering six weeks of paid work experience across a wide range of sectors, providing training and development opportunities and creating a sustainable cycle of mentorship and sponsorship for the Black community.

Together with Keating Chambers, Matrix Chambers, 4 Paper Buildings and QEB Hollis Whiteman, The Bar Council and Bridging The Bar, Littleton Chambers has formed a steering group to promote the 10,000 Black Interns project and bring other Chambers into the scheme.

Through our work on the steering group and our participation in the scheme, we hope to make a genuine effort to address the woeful under representation of Black barristers that continues to exist at the Bar today.
