Jonathan Cohen QC successfully represents the estate of deceased solicitor and prominent Israeli lawyer, Michael Shine, obtaining a strike out of the claim against him by former joint venture partners in a London property development business. The judgment finds that a short form contractual release which made no mention of fraud or breach of fiduciary duty is nevertheless sufficient to compromise those claims. Service of the claim in Israel was also set-aside on the basis of material non-disclosure and indemnity costs were ordered. Jonathan was instructed by Trevor Mascarenhas of PCB Byrne LLP.
